Bannatyne Mains Road, PA20 0PH Port Bannatyne
Port Bannatyne Golf Club is located on the Isle of Bute, in the charming coastal village of Port Bannatyne, overlooking Loch Striven and the Kyles of Bute. The course has a distinct Scottish parkland character and features a unique layout: you play 12 holes, then replay the first 5 holes, finishing with a separate 18th hole. The variation in elevation adds extra dynamics, including uphill holes at 4 and 7 and downhill holes at 10, 12, and 18. Besides the course, the club has a modern clubhouse with a bar, changing rooms, and showers. Golf is played here with an honesty box. The surroundings breathe history, with references to the World War II X Craft midget submarine fleet and the testing of the bouncing bomb. The clubhouse is also suitable for celebrations and events.
