Milan and Turin provide useful bases for multi-course itineraries, while Genoa can suit Ligurian plans. A rental car is generally the most flexible option, especially for clubs outside the main cities and for cross-regional travel. Motorways serve many lowland corridors, but mountain roads, tunnels and coastal traffic can add time. Spring and autumn are usually the easiest periods for a broad itinerary; summer heat is more noticeable on the plains and coast, while higher locations can be cooler. In winter, snow and seasonal conditions may affect alpine access, so confirm course opening and driving conditions before setting out.
