San Angelo Country Club is a private golf course in West Texas by the Concho River. Since 1921, golf has been central: starting with nine holes, expanded to 18 in 1927 by John Bredemus. The layout follows the natural terrain and river, with strategic challenges, characterful greens, and varied play. In 2024-25, a major renovation by architect Tripp Davis renewed all 18 greens, complexes, tees, fairways, and bunkers. The club offers extensive practice facilities, a Golf Performance Center with two simulators, private lessons, clinics, and junior programs, creating a vibrant golf environment with an active tournament calendar and clubs.
