Foreside Road 11, 04105 Falmouth
Portland Country Club is a private 18-hole golf course in Falmouth Foreside, designed by Donald Ross and founded in 1895. The course is set in a beautiful coastal environment with views of the Portland skyline and Casco Bay, giving each round a strong character. The front nine offers wide vistas and demands accuracy, while the back nine focuses on course management along sheltered, wooded fairways and towards the ocean. The course is walkable and offers much variety, partly due to ever-changing conditions. In 2017, several Donald Ross elements were restored, including bunkers, green expansions, and tree removal, further emphasizing the course's historic character.
