Coyote Point Drive 1700, 94401 San Mateo
Poplar Creek Golf Course is an 18-hole championship course by Steve Halsey, opened in 2000 after a full renovation of the original San Mateo Municipal Golf Course. Nestled among poplar trees with a creek running through, it offers a varied round. With a Slope of 115 and Course Rating of 70.2, it provides a challenging layout for golfers testing their skills. The club dates back to 1933 and has a strong tournament tradition, including the Robert O’Brien Junior Championship and the San Mateo County Championship, once won by Johnny Miller. Practice facilities include a driving range and a short game center with two large putting greens.
