Knickerbocker Country Club is a private golf club with a rich history dating back to 1914, featuring a course originally designed by Donald Ross and later refined by Maurice McCarthy, Herbert Strong, and Ron Forse. The course offers short, challenging holes, rolling greens, and large green complexes for long-range shots. The club has a warm, family-oriented atmosphere and strong practice facilities, including a driving range with target greens, a 3,500 m² putting green, and a 4,500 m² short game green with two practice bunkers. It hosted the first New Jersey State Open in 1921, the 100th edition in July 2020, and the New Jersey State Amateur in 2014.
