Riverbank Drive 45, M9A 5B8
Islington Golf Club is a challenging 18-hole par 72 course designed by Stanley Thompson. The parkland course lies in a leafy, tree-rich landscape with rolling terrain and the meandering Mimico Creek, which strongly influences play. From the tee, the course often looks inviting, but missing the fairway quickly leads to difficult approach shots. The greens feature speed, firmness, and steep contours, making precise iron shots and strong putting crucial. The club originated in 1913 and officially started in 1923, with the course established from 1924 on the Appleby family farm. Thompson remained involved until 1946, keeping the design close to the original layout, fitting the classic character of this course.
