Country Club of Fairfield is a historic golf club founded in 1914 by Oliver Gould Jennings on land once known as Mosquito Hill. The course was built on raised land originally tidal marsh fields. Seth Raynor designed it as a links-style layout with elements inspired by famous British Isles holes. The club officially opened in 1921, with Hall of Famer Walter Hagen present on opening day. It is known for its classic design and distinctive setting around water and tides.
