Connecticut Avenue 7900, 20815 Chevy Chase
Columbia Country Club in Chevy Chase, Maryland, is a private golf club with a rich history dating back to 1898. The course is considered a Walter Travis design and has retained its original character over the years, featuring rolling, segmented greens that clearly bear Travis' signature. Frederick B. Pyle designed the clubhouse, while bunkers, other hazards, and two ponds were added or modified later as part of the course's development. The golf course is also prepared for top national tournaments. Columbia Country Club has hosted events such as the 1921 United States Open, the 2003 United States Junior Amateur, and the 2021 United States Girls’ Junior Championship. Practice facilities and a driving range have also been added and improved over time.
