Station Road, Bangor BT19 1EZ, Noord-Ierland
Carnalea Golf Club is a charming seaside course on Belfast Lough, with views of the coast and Mourne Mountains. Established in 1896, it became Ireland's first municipal golf club in 1927, reflected in its warm, welcoming atmosphere. The 18-hole, par-70 links/seaside layout spans 5,716 yards over 88 acres of parkland, demanding strategic play and calm when the wind blows from the water. Notable features include a railway crossing the course, a short par-3 on hole 9 beneath the clubhouse, and a long, blind par-4 on hole 18.
