Bethpage State Park Golf Course – Black is the flagship of the public golf complex in Bethpage State Park on Long Island. This 18-hole course, designed by A.W. Tillinghast and later shaped by the modern park setting on the grounds of a former estate, has a classic tournament feel and a strong, competitive identity. The Black Course is especially well known for hosting the U.S. Open in 2002 and 2009, The Barclays in 2012 and 2016, the PGA Championship in 2019, and the Ryder Cup in 2025. Its demanding character rewards precision and focus, while the clubhouse area also includes a driving range for practice.
