Golfclub Ottenstein, part of Diamond Club Ottenstein, is in Waldviertel, among hills, forests, and streams. The 18-hole Bird Course offers a varied round in a romantic, natural setting, featuring two narrow creeks, idyllic ponds, and open meadows as key elements. The first nine holes have been played since 1991, designed by Keith Preston; the second nine were added in 1995, designed by Hans-Georg Erhardt. The hilly course is well-maintained with much variety, and six greens are influenced by water hazards. For practice, there is a driving range and chipping & putting area. After the round, a clubhouse restaurant is available, e-carts are allowed, and dogs are permitted on leash.
